Falcon began

Falcon began.

He took the calling of the valley

He took the wailing of the waterfall

And made his voice.

For his wings

He took the softness of the bear’s hide

He took the greyness of the mountain

He took the camouflage of the forest.

From high peaks

He took the silence of the wind

He took the swiftness of the bat

And made his flight.

Then at night

He took the shining of the moon

He took the desolation of the black hole

To make his eyes.

Steel and rock

Went into her talons

And for their shape

He took the curve of the scythe

And Falcon was made.
